The Flooded Forest and Piranhas exhibits at the New England Aquarium showcase a natural river basin covered in dense terrestrial plants. To mimic natural sunlight and habitat, a combination of Cielux W500B and W500X LED lights were selected.

The Cielux LED lamps ensures that the plants thrive atop the aquarium, and the point source allows the filtered light emanating from below the water surface to create natural shadows and shimmer - giving guests a view of how the natural river would look.
