Lit by 24 Cielux W500 fixtures, the Florida Aquarium’s Tide Pool exhibit is one of the few cold-water touch habitats on Florida’s west coast. The 62.5-foot, 4,000-gallon habitat features more than 200 marine animals under Cielux’s Tuna Blue spectrum, which helps support animal health and brings out their natural fluorescence with UVA light. As the guests are encouraged to reach into the pool and interact with the animals on display, glare control was critical in this exhibit design. Each W500 is equipped with a barn door reflector to ensure that the light is bright enough in the pool without creating an uncomfortable viewing experience for the guests.
